But 2009 is supposed to be a vintage of the century so I have to be here with the rest of the wine world to make my own mind up. And the world is here: Germany,Hong Kong, USA, Belgium, Swiss, China and Brits by the score! We're invited to taste at each village and the grand chateaux so have a great opportunity to try the wines next to each other and with the wine maker onhand to talk about this year's particular issues. It's very intense as these are young and very tannic wines, but this year there is beautiful forward fruit too. Many of these will be drunk soon as they are so juicy and luscious, but there are planty that will obviously just get better and better for a decade or several, they will be worth resisting. The prices haven't been set yet but the potential to age is a key elelment for investment. Keep watching.
