I'm so pleased to have this on the list as I've been waiting since my visit in February for it to arrive in the country! I was really impressed by the whole estate, from the vineyards to the clean winery and of course the way the wines taste! Waimea Estates have been winning medals in England this summer, so obviously others are also impressed. The region of Nelson has a slightly milder climate than Marlborough and I think the wines reflect it with slightly more delicate and elegant flavours. It is still obviously Sauvignon with all the crisp goosberry, green apple and green pepper flavours we love. But there is something a tiny bit more restrained here, which makes it possible to have a second glass of course!
