Dm de la Chapelle des Bois, Fleurie 2006
|
This wine is here due to popular demand as I know lots of you who just love Fleurie. I've been trying plenty recently and have to agree, especially this one from the Coudert-Appert vineyards. They have managed to get a delicious balance between the ridiculously easy drinking raspberry coulis style of the Gammay, and the rather more serious and full bodied character of other reds from their northern neighbours in Burgundy. This is a super wine with a wide range of foods as it is easy to drink but with enough structure to keep its flavour. It is heaven sent with coq-au-vin of course.
