Barbera d'Alba 2005
Bosco Agostino
|
A gifted young wine maker is now in charge of his family's vineyards in La Morra, in Piedmont. Andrea is already consulting to other wineries in the area, and I'm sure we'll be hearing more about his wines in future. This lovely smooth Barbera has deep plummy fruit with morello cherry aromas and flavours. It has been in wood for some months which gives it a rich but velvety tannin. This is wonderful with mushroom or game flavours as well as beef casseroles. You could keep it easily for another 4-6 years.
