Kerbuccio Chateau St Roch, 2006
Cotes du Rousillon Villages
|
You're just going to have to trust me on this wine, as it is sensational for a Roussillon! Jean-Michelle Lafarge has some old Grenache vines that he uses along with Syrah and Mouvedre in this blend. 14 months of oak ageing give this a very classy aroma, and the richness and depth of fruit flavour shines through the wood with black cherry, black berry, wild herbs and black pepper flavours. A fine example of the exciting wines that can be made in these established but less famous areas. Anyone who enjoys Chateauneuf du Pape should try this.
